Shared Items
Printers, Modems, Internet access, can all be shared items.
An item becomes eligible to be shared across the network when it is infrequently used, or
is expensive to purchase.
As it is shared, management is done centrally, and overheads are kept to a minimum.
Most items can be shared, even down to the floppy disk on your PC at home (via a modem or
ISDN link).
The most overlooked item to be shared is the information !
